After a first successful year of working together on the largest dance festival in the USA, Insomniac Events requested Leisure Expert Group again to contribute to their festival. This three day event held in Las Vegas draws 400,000 party-goers to not only enjoy the music but to enjoy a full experience. To improve the experience from 2014, we were asked to evaluate and redesign the master plan for the entire festival. As part of the master plan, we created a new look and redesigned the festivals’ overall guest flow. It was a challenge to avoid pinch points, while at the same time give guests something new to discover behind every corner. Fortunately, everything came together beautifully with a great edition of EDC 2015 as a result.
Besides the revision of the master plan, we developed new story lines for the different stages which were in line with the overall EDC brand identify. For the main stage a special language, called the Owlphabet, was created to fit the new storyline and the costumes of the main stage performers were designed to match. For two other stages, Neon Garden and Wasteland, we also designed and produced the stages in line with the new themes.
