Project Description
Blitzbahn, attraction retheming
Toverland, 2015
Leisure Expert Group was asked by Toverland execute the technical design and production as part of the retheming of the existing bobsleigh track located at the Magic Forest. Part of this retheming was the technical design development, as well as the technical engineering to support the design elements. The new theme was inspired by Austrian inventor Maximus Müller and his latest invention: The BlitzBahn, for which he was recruiting test riders.
Besides the technical overhaul of the attraction, we also fitted new light and sounds effects in the surrounding area of the attraction. This included theming of the horse carousel with sounds and the terrace, bar and trees with special lighting. All elements were specially programmed into an ingenious show control system.

Special Effects
Throughout the queue there are different special effects added to enhance the experience. Every room in the Guardhouse has a theme with matching effects, such as a cuckoo clock which launched a cuckoo at set times; a crackling fire; steam effects in several places; and multiple interactive effects which could be activated by the guests.
Technological elements
Throughout the attraction itself there are more technological elements installed, part of which enhance the experience for the guests and part of which maximizes the operators efficiency. The entire length of the track was fitted with a full coverage camera system, a calamity audio system and almost 40 old oil lamps in the rafters. Also, there is a time registration system installed that links between the riders and the photo finish to see who had the fastest times.
